It is an absolute pleasure to not only know Angela Ward personally but to also work alongside her professionally. Her ability to make people feel at ease as soon as she walks in to the room is extraordinary; she can make the most timid of people comfortable enough to open up at what is likely to be one of the most adverse times of their lives. Her kind and gentle nature is reflected not only in her work as a Funeral Celebrant but also in the work she does in her spare time. She is a pillar to the local communities and someone everyone can rely upon.
From the moment Angela is in contact with a family right up until after the funeral, Angela goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect for their loved ones last journey. She spends many hours just chatting to the family and being there to listen. She guides the family through the service sharing her knowledge and experience to ensure that no detail is left unattended, she gives each family a variety of choice and always makes sure they have plenty of time to enable the right decision is being made. If families are unable to write a eulogy, Angela will gather all information from the family and create a eulogy every member is pleased with. Many a time people will come in the office who were part of the congregation of a funeral to tell us how beautifully taken it was and how spectacular Angela was.
Not only is Angela a fantastic Funeral Celebrant she also counsels many of our bereaved clients. Visiting them regularly and supporting them through their grief for as long as they need her. She is our child funeral celebrant – something I believe we can all agree is an extremely difficult role; yet Angela a mother herself takes it all in her stride providing a service to parents that they are eternally grateful for. She does not charge for these services even though she puts exactly the same amount of work in. Her kind hearted way is reflected when we have particularly sensitive situations such as a council funeral, a single parent death, no family etc. Angela offers her services for free believing that everyone should be entitled to a funeral even those who have had difficult lives and made socially unacceptable decisions.

I just wanted to thank you for contributing to making our Dad's funeral as moving, poignant and funny as is possible at a very sad occassion. Many of the guests there said that the service really summed him up very well, and was something he would be proud of. Your delivery of the Eulogies was very warm, and you really managed to set exactly the right tone. It can't be easy to do that when you have never met the person you are talking about. Good Evening Angela and Kevin, I write to thank you on mine and Peters behalf for composing and delivering the service for our mother’s funeral on Thursday. Everyone who was there were very complimentary about the service and the way you delivered it in a kind and compassionate manner. Just a note to thank you all for the comprehensive organisation and smooth running of mum's funeral on Friday.
